SAE Offers the Potential of Local Products in the Global Market
Temanggung – The 5th Soropadan Agro Expo (SAE) 2011 was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Suswono, MMA on Saturday (2/7/2011). Also present at the opening were the Governor of Central Java, Bibit Waluyo and five ambassadors from friendly countries, including those from Asia, Europe, Africa and America. The theme of the event is “Strengthening Partnerships with the Business World to Develop Global Market Access”. SAE has been consistently held every two years since 2001. A total of 25 Ambassadors from various friendly countries attended the Soropadan Agro Expo 2011. The 5th SAE was held on 1-5 July 2011 at the Agrotourism Area and Agribusiness Sub Terminal (STA) , Soropadan, Temanggung Regency, Central Java.
The Minister of Agriculture in his speech explained that the 5th SAE 2011 this time could be an event and a golden opportunity to strengthen partnerships with the business world in the agribusiness sector in the domestic market and also an opportunity to offer potential local products at the global market level.
“Smart and innovative management and creativity in facing global competition needs to continue to be improved to win consumer markets at home and abroad,” explained the Minister of Agriculture.
On the same occasion, the Governor of Central Java, Bibit Waluyo, said that the 5th SAE this time was a strategy to offer superior products produced by farmers from various regions. “The momentum which is already good and runs regularly every 2 years must continue to be maintained and further improve the quality and quantity so that over time the agricultural products presented have export quality which is increasingly in demand not only by domestic people but also people from abroad. ,” he said at the opening of the Vth SAE.
Meanwhile, at the Central Java Province Agricultural Training Center, the Minister of Agriculture opened the National Agricultural Extension Seminar initiated by Sinar Tani Tabloid as an expression of gratitude to welcome the Tabloid’s 40th anniversary. The seminar with the theme “Agricultural Technology Support for Rural Agribusiness Industrialization,” was considered a very appropriate idea by the Minister of Agriculture, because it is in line with the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to realize the vision of agricultural development.
“I hope that this seminar can produce concrete formulations in order to realize superior sustainable industrial agriculture,” said the Minister of Agriculture ending his keynote speech.
